AWE 2022

For AWE 2022, we got on the main stage for the MetaTr@versal: A Day in the Life play! Additionally, Christi joined a panel to talk about immersive storytelling. We also joined a group of educators to tour the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab, and the Santa Clara University Imaginarium. Then, we had a big AWE Afterparty with tech demos at our MetaVilla Airbnb.

The Foremothers Café

Here is a world right out of author Helen Lundström Erwin’s Historic Novel: Sour Milk in Sheep’s Wool. We worked with Helen to recreate this café depicted in her novel, which serves as her main characters’ meeting space during the women’s suffrage movement. Now she can host readings of her own book inside of a setting from the book itself. Talk about “meta!”

AWE 2021 Day 2: Christi’s live stage AR demo with the Microsoft HoloLens 2

This past November, we were invited to fly out to California for the Augmented World Expo (AWE). AWE is the biggest conference for Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Wearable Technology! Christi joined the panel “Stereoscopic AR in WebXR” on stage. She demoed some of her original 3D creations accessed live on the HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset alongside her teammates.
