The energy at Meta Connect was inspiring! When we got the invite to fly to CA for the Creator Academy + Connect, we didn’t know what to expect. Over the course of a week we learned from mentors, saw legends like Mark, Boz and James Cameron, reconnected with so many friends, met some in person for the first time, and made so many more!

Shoutout to Andy Fidel – the best community leader anyone could ask for! She was instrumental in bringing together over 100 developers for the Meta Horizon Worlds Creator Academy! During this bootcamp, we learned from the best about getting started in Horizon Worlds. From talks on audience insights & editor capabilities to collaborative Get Ready With Me’s and world build-alongs, our 2-day program schedule was jam packed! After exploring the editor together, playing with its AI features & building a simple game loop we published our first world in this platform, hit the gong, and graduated! (COMPARE TO OTHER Platforms & editors?)

Meta Connect Officially Begins with a Keynote from Mark
Seeing Mark Zuckerberg in person was one of many highlights – he’s real guys!
A lot of cool things were revealed…..
We also heard from James Cameron !
Mark and Diplo ran out of the room together, and the rest of us hopped on a shuttle and landed in… Meta’s Disney world?
From half-pipes to photobooths to skiing to endless food & drinks, the experience did not disappoint
We took a picture of eachother with the Ray-Ban Gen 2 Glasses using the glasses- the camera quality was pretty impressive
But most importantly, the best part of Meta Connect was the people!
Our community is amazing! We loved seeing so many friends and making new ones!
